Interrupting or distorting familiar narratives, my recent work is a distillation of animal imagery and iconic historical figures abridged from their original context.

I draw my inspiration from the illustrators whose work fills the pages of my collected middle- and high-school textbooks from the 19th century forward.

With the sensibility of a designer and an expressionist’s line, I continue to build a personal symbology of surreal, ahistorical fables.
