Bodies, Borders, Bridges

Framed as a thematic exploration of contemporary issues, Bodies, Borders, Bridges presents art as a bridge to explore contemporary crises related to identities,  criminalized migration, refugees and border crossing.

Bodies, Borders, Bridges was installed in the offices of the Interdisciplinary Institute at Merrimack College in Andover, Massachusetts. It later moved online as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The exhibition builds upon a previous exhibition Children: Artists Unified Against Family Separation shown in the Storage Closet Gallery at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Featuring 35 visual artists and poets, Bodies, Borders, Bridges was curated by Brian Alves with curatorial advising by Kartina Everett, Mica Lin-Alves and Rayza Carrasco.
